MINARET COLLEGE STUDENTS ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS AND ASSESSMENTS FOR SCHOOLS Students from Minaret College achieved outstanding results when they participated in ICAS tests this year. Students with outstanding results were rewarded with certificates of Distinction and credit. ICAS tests are developed by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA) and are administered by University of New South Wales. The tests are conducted annually in Australia and 12 other countries. The tests are conducted for students from years 3 to 12 and assess the academic ability of students in Computer skills, English, Mathematics, Science, Spelling and Writing. “The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) provide extensive independent evaluations of students’ skills, knowledge, and understandings in core learning areas. These skills and understandings are important indicators of success in school and beyond,” said Penny Hutton, assessment Manager at EAA. All students from Minaret College are congratulated on their significant achievements.
