Entry is possible at any level. Minaret College has always prided itself on taking pupils of all abilities and from a wide range of backgrounds. Children will normally start their Preparatory year in February if their fifth birthday falls between the 1st of July in the preceding year and the 30th of June in the year of admission.* While a pre-school year in kindergarten is not a prerequisite for admission to the Preparatory year, Minaret College recommends that all children should be given the opportunity to complete at least one such year before beginning the formal school program. Parents of all pupils beginning at Minaret College are required to complete a questionnaire, which will enable the school to understand more fully the educational and general background of pupils coming into its care. Pupils entering Minaret College from Year 1 onwards will usually be tested shortly after arrival so that appropriate decisions about the educational program of the individual child can be made.
